The first service is in the home homecare which brings a caregiver to your loved one. At EGIS, in-home caregivers assist your loved one within their own home. The caregivers can help with hands-on basic activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, transferring and toileting. EGIS caregivers will additionally assist with instrumental activities of daily living such as medication reminders, meal preparation, grocery shopping, transportation to/from doctor appointments and light housekeeping.
The second service, Care Management, takes on more of an oversight role. An EGIS Care Manager assesses your loved one’s needs, creates customized in home care plans, arranges for additional services, monitors health changes, reporting any changes to medical personnel. They also handle paperwork, and serve as an advocate. Their goal is to look at the bigger picture of care needs and fill in any gaps on other various types of non-medical tasks.
Care Management
The In-Homecare and Care Management services complement each other as one identifies the need while the other meets the needs identified. At EGIS, caregivers give practical daily help while Care Managers optimize the quality, safety, and planning of ongoing care.
